What was announced

At Cloud Next on 22 April 2026, Google introduced Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform for technical teams building and managing AI agents. Google says it brings model-building services together with tools for integration, security and ongoing operation.

The platform connects with the Gemini Enterprise app, giving employees a way to access agents at work. The announcement concerns Google’s enterprise products; it does not mean those services are included in a Nansen course or implementation.

OUR INTERPRETATION

Nansen’s perspective

The practical question for a business is: what should an agent know, and what should it be allowed to do? A skincare sales assistant could draft a follow-up using approved product facts and pricing. An operations assistant could locate an SOP. Neither should invent a discount, make an unsupported product claim or open files outside the employee’s permissions.

Keep people at the center

Choose one recurring task with your team, organize its trusted sources, and test real questions. Keep a person responsible for approving sensitive actions and correcting outdated information. Extend the workflow only after it works reliably for the people using it.

The takeaway

Organized company knowledge, clear permissions and human ownership are the foundation—not optional finishing touches.
