Assessment privacy
A free scan needs only a public website URL and optional focus phrase. Your score preview is available without contact details. Enter your name and email to open the full free report; no password or payment is required. Nansen saves these details with the assessed website for report follow-up. Marketing consent is optional, separate and not required to open your report. Public page HTML, crawler files and link responses are fetched to assess the website. Parallel or Tavily receives the public domain and optional focus phrase for public web search. DeepSeek receives measured public page facts and available public search excerpts to write the assessment. Do not enter confidential information.
Reports and request details are encrypted in Nansen’s Netlify server storage. Recent reports and display preferences are also saved in this browser; use Clear History to remove local report copies. A report is publicly viewable only when its holder chooses Share Results. New shared assessments show the website and score preview; each viewer enters their own name and email to open the full findings. Submitted contact details never appear in report responses or share links. Previously shared reports retain their original sharing behavior. Private full-report credentials stay in your browser session, not in the report URL.
Opening a full free report requires your name and email, stored privately with the assessed website. If you also request a plug-in, enroll or request a call, we collect the business and request preferences needed to respond. Voice-call requests also collect your phone and schedule. When the website’s Google Sheets connection is configured, Nansen requests sync to its private masterfile, accessible to authorized workbook users. Marketing consent is optional and separate from request-related contact.
Paid assessment plug-ins have separate lead inboxes. Inquiries submitted through a buyer’s embedded tool are available to that tool’s buyer through a private setup link; they are not added to Nansen’s sales masterfile. Nansen hosts and stores these inquiries to operate the tool. Contact details are not sent to DeepSeek or search providers.
PayPal handles payment on its website when checkout is configured. Nansen stores order details and payment references for manual verification. A submitted reference alone does not activate a license. Private setup links grant access to the buyer’s order and lead inbox; keep them private. Provider API credentials are never included in the embed or download.
Reports can be downloaded on screen. Automatic report, payment and enrollment emails are not enabled yet; a successful form submission does not mean an email was sent.
Records are retained for review, service delivery and follow-up until no longer needed, subject to transaction record requirements.
